The Inauguration of National Coir Research & Management Institute was on 28th October 2009 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sri. V.S. Achuthanandan at Kudappanakkunnu Campus and the function was presided over by Sri.G.Sudhakaran, Hon’ble Minister for Co-operation & Coir. The inaugural function was conducted in the presence of Hon’ble Leader of Opposition, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Hon’ble Industries Minister, Hon’ble Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Hon’ble Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works and Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources.
