The Governing Body
The Governing Body consists of 21
members. The members of the Governing Body shall be
nominated by the Government from time to time. All
the properties movable and immovable of the Institute
is vested with the Governing Body.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee shall perform all such acts
and duties and exercise powers as authorised or delegated
by the Governing Body. The Executive Committee of
Governing Body of NCRMI with the following members:

DIRECTOR
Presently, Sri. Anil K.R is the Director of the Institute.
He has been active in the field of teaching and research
in Geotextile Development for the past 15 years and
he had a distinguished career as a technologist and
as an administrator in the segment of coir
|
State Level R&D Advisory Committee |
Government have constituted State Level R&D
Advisory Committee to advice, evaluate, guide, select
and ensure proper implementation of specific R&D
projects by NCRMI for improving the Coir processing
machinery, increasing productivity and for production
of diversified coir products with high value addition.
The committee consists of 9 members from government
and its departments.

The
State Level R&D Committee has the following powers
and duties and is to perform the following functions: |

To
publish and/or to finance the publication of studies,
thesis, books, periodicals, reports and other literature,
and to sell or arrange for the sale of them, as it
may deem fit, from time to time. |

To appoint
if it deems fit delegates to represent the Institute
in Conferences in India and abroad without violation
of the existing Government norms. |

To arrange
for the documentation of such materials relating to
studies, projects etc., mentioned above as may be
needed for the Institute. |
» |
To utilize
the services of experts for any special work/or scheme,
if need arises and to incur expenditure in connection
with the same subject to ratification of Governing
Body. |

The Committee also have the responsibility for
the total technical support for the identification
to conclusion of all projects to be implemented
under Geotextiles Development Programme.

The
important functions of the State Level R&D Advisory
in connection with Coir Geotextile Development Programme
will be as follows: |
1. |
Selection
of projects within the State and outside in association
with the implementing agencies, NGO’s, exporters,
national level development agencies etc. |
2. |
The
selection of projects will be based on the criteria
including the technical aspects, demonstration, potential
of application, potential costs etc. of the projects. |
3. |
Identification
of the appropriate technical experts from among the
State Level R&D Advisory committee for the guidance,
monitoring, technical supervision and validation of
the project. This small group of technical experts
along with the Managing Director of concerned implementing
agencies and technical member from NCRMI will form
the Sub-committees for the project. |
4. |
Monitoring
and Technical validation of the projects undertaken
under Geotextiles Development Programme.
The monitoring and technical validation of the projects
undertaken by Geotextiles Development Programme are
being carried out by the State Level R&D Advisory
Committee through Sub-Committees in the form of reports. |
